You can choose between a hose clamp or stainless steel wire. The wire has to be coiled several times around the insulated part. In the end you twist the ends and put them aside, so nobody get's hurt.

 

When insulating a motor cycles engine we recommend to start at the end and got forth to the manifold. The direction does not matter for the insulation but when it is wrapped in that way, there won't be drapes in which dirt can be caught.

 

If you have a sensitive skin, we recommend to use rubber or latex gloves. When you get some of the fibres on the skin, wash it off with cold water (not warm or hot, that will make it worse). Afterwards use some lotion. This does not apply to people with normal or resistant skin, you will not be affected.
